Personal Care: Offer all care services
To practice Personal Care services, you must complete a state-mandated
entry-level nursing course. If you already have one, please submit it along with
your employment documents.

Complete courses at partner school while working as a Homemaker. Our Career Support Program allows you to take courses for free, depending on your work style as a Personal Care Aide. Please feel free to contact the office for further information.
OVERALL QUALIFICATION
Qualifications for Companion Care
- Must have completed and passed a criminal background check and TB test.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and DMV drive history if you use a car for a commute.
- Must understand Japanese and be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Be able to lift, push, and pull 25 lbs.
- Be able to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach.
- Able to independently climb up and down 13-15 flights of stairs.
- Be able to withstand exposure to dust, mold, and cleaning fluids.
- Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
- Ability to adapt to different living environments and locations.
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
Qualifications for Personal Care
- Must have completed and passed a criminal background check and TB test.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and DMV drive history if you use a car for a commute.
- Must complete 1) the basic nurse aide course in a state-approved nurse aide training program or 2) an equivalent course or have completed coursework that qualifies a person as a certified or 3) licensed healthcare professional.
- Must understand Japanese and be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Be able to lift, push, and pull at least 60lbs.
- Be able to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach.
- Able to independently climb up and down 13-15 flights of stairs.
- Be able to withstand exposure to dust, mold, and cleaning fluids.
- Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
- Ability to adapt to different living environments and locations.
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
